About us

Studio Airport is an interdisciplinary design studio that ventures out into the cultural ether to forage for anomalies and stirring conclusions.

Our work spans across art, culture, ecology and science. We believe no idea exists in a vacuum, so with each project, we extract, curate and contribute to a wider creative ecosystem, telling stories that evolve and deepen over time.

During our projects strategy and creativity are inseparable. We do not treat strategy as a document and creativity as an execution. Strategy is shaped through sketches, prototypes, storytelling, and cinematic experiments, using creative exploration as a way to test, challenge, and refine ideas.

These ideas emerge through doing, observing, and experimenting. This hands-on, collaborative approach allows us to create work that is grounded in research, shaped by lived experiences, and responsive to the textures, rhythms, and materiality of the world around us.

We recontextualise and materialise to create books, films, installations, digital experiences, brands and exhibitions. In addition to Emergence Magazine, we’re the creative partners of the Design Museum, See All This Magazine, Slowness, Normal Phenomena of Life and Sapiens Magazine. We also serve as tutors of the Information Design master department at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
